Available Update

A pair of Snow Stripe Cornsnakes are available and have been added to the website. The photos are a bit washed out, but I hope to have that remedied by tomorrow (new pictures). Pictures of the Pastel Ball Pythons have also been added  though they are not yet available. Prices will be listed once they are ready to go to new homes.

The Diffuse het Stripe x Granite het Stripe clutch hatched this past week, we have 3.1 Granite possible het Stripe and 1.2 Diffuse het Anery possible het Stripe that will be available soon. We did end up with a single Stripe in the clutch, a Granite, but it was dead in egg. Very disappointing, but we have one more clutch from this project due to hatch within the next 7-10 days. Our fingers are crossed for a higher Stripe count.

Snow Stripes Pipping!

Nothing puts a smile on our faces like Cornsnakes pipping! While the last clutch of Pastel eggs is 11 days late, our first clutch of Cornsnakes is two day early! This particular clutch is from Snow Stripe x Snow Stripe and it appears that only three of the original seven are good. Pricing will be $60/female, $50/male. Check availability in roughly 4 weeks!

First Clutch of ‘09 Finally Out!

Yay! 1.2 Normal and 3.1 Pastel. The Pastel female will not be going anywhere, but the Pastel males will be priced at $150/each after they have had their first meals. We are not taking deposits, but are happy to take down names and emails to notify them when they become available (after three meals). Look for individual pictures soon!

The remaining Pastel clutch should be pipping any day now. We will be holding back one more female Pastel, but after that all other hatchlings will be available for purchase. Normal males and Normal females will be sold in single lots per sex…So if anyone is in need of a batch of captive born and breed Normal females, please contact us to be notified when they are available for purchase.

Ball Python Pips!

Finally! We’ve got pippies! We’ve been waiting impatiently, and I’m sure you have too! This first clutch was laid April 28th and began to pip on the 1st of July! Four Pastels and three Normals appear to be what we’ve got from the first clutch for 2009. Four are out and all popped male, but we have hopes that the remaining three turn out to be girls.

We have a second clutch of eight Pastel x Normal eggs that should pip any day now. The four females that were paired with our Mojave and Spider males have not laid and we don’t expect them to at this point. Their is always next year though. It’s disappointing, but we keep our hopes up.

Cornsnakes should begin hatching by the end of this month. So if Corns are your particular flavor of reptile poison, check back in a few weeks! We’ll have lots of Stripes and some by-product hatchlings available! In particular we’re expecting Ghost Stripes, Snow Stripes, Diffusion Stripes, Granite Stripes, Diffusions, Granites, Normals, Charcoals, Lavas and Charcoal Lavas. Charcoal Lavas and Lavas will probably not be for sale, so don’t get your hopes up on them!

Incubation Update!

We told you we would be bad about keeping this up to date!

As it stands now we have 84 eggs in the incubator. The first clutch is due to hatch the end of this month, so look out for pippy pictures! At this late time in the season, we aren’t getting our hopes up that the remaining females are going to lay, but keep your fingers crossed! Included here some candid shots of some of our Cornsnake girls with their clutches.

2009 Ball Python Breeding

The ball pythons started breeding in November, but our blog wasn’t rolling until April! Our Mojave and  Spider are both first time breeding males, but they took to their ladies eagerly. Our second year breeding Pastel also has already done his time with his girls.

We hope to have many, many lovely hatchling ball pythons available this year. The girls are fat and saucy and should be laying any day now. Subscribe to our blog to be notified when eggs are on the ground!
